"It's Eurojunk": Mafia and KCD Creator Daniel Vavra Impressed by Crime Action Game Samson
Samson: A Tyndalston Story managed to capture the attention of the renowned developer.
Daniel Vavra, creator of Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Mafia, continues to track modern releases and share his thoughts on them on social media. Recently, he decided to talk about Samson: A Tyndalston Story.
According to Vavra, this project looks "fantastic":
I recently stumbled upon gameplay of a game called Samson. As the creator of Mafia, it naturally immediately attracted me — because it looks like Mafia! And that surprised me: it looks simply amazing, and no one is talking about it! WHAT THE ***? Then I found out it only costs 24 euros, it's already out, no one is talking about it, and it has pretty bad reviews. WHAT THE *** 2! So I bought it. It looks just FAN-TAS-TIC! …and it's Eurojunk.
After that, Daniel Vavra decided to find out who was behind this project:
Then I learned the development story of this game. The creators of Just Cause, an indie development team, they couldn't find a publisher, had layoffs, cut initial plans, had a rushed self-release without advertising, bugs appeared, a struggle for survival began. The same could have happened to Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
According to Vavra, players should try Samson:
[Samson] for its price is a good deal. Give it a try. It really looks cool. But I have a feeling that given the number of games announced this year, we will hear many more similar stories… :(
After the release, the developers of Samson: A Tyndalston Story have been actively releasing patches aimed at fixing bugs and improving gameplay mechanics.
Earlier, Daniel Vavra highly praised another project — the Belarusian cyberpunk action game Replaced from the Sad Cat Studios team.
