NBA The Run gameplay revealed - dynamic 3x3 matches coming in 2026
NBA The Run received its first gameplay trailer and an approximate release date. The new game from Play by Play Studios will be released in June 2026, focusing on fast-paced 3-on-3 street basketball matches.
The developers are betting on dynamic online games. The project will feature Knockout tournaments held in famous venues around the world. Matches will be short and with random rules, which should increase the pace and unpredictability.
One of the key mechanics is the “In The Zone” mode – a special ability system. The better the user plays, the stronger skills they can activate in offense and defense.
The game will also offer extensive customization. In-game currency can be used to unlock cosmetic items and alternative versions of players, including younger versions of stars like Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant.
Among the modes are the training Shootaround and Knockout Friends, where you can create private tournaments for up to 48 players.
