Kwalee and Galaxy Grove studio, known for Station to Station and Town to City, have announced Steam to Electric, a management strategy game where players will build a railroad empire.
As the game director Joost van Dongen noted, the idea for the game grew out of his personal passion for trains and management simulators. According to him, the history of railways saw extremely bold developments – from jet-powered trains to monorail trains kept in balance by complex gyroscopic systems. These concepts may seem fantastic, but many of them were indeed implemented and successfully operated.
In Steam to Electric, the developers aim to pay tribute to these engineering achievements, allowing players to design and launch such unique trains within their own transport empire.
