Since December 2025, at least eight administrative cases under Article 13.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses have been initiated by Roskomnadzor against major foreign gaming companies. The reason was violations in the field of personal data processing.

Some of them have already resulted in fines. In April, sanctions totaling 2,000,000 rubles were imposed on Take-Two Interactive and Electronic Arts. A month earlier, Battlestate Games studio received a similar penalty. The court found that the company collected user data from Russia but did not ensure its storage on servers within the country, which contradicts legal requirements.

On April 27, the magistrate's court in Moscow also issued a decision against NetEase Interactive, but the details of the punishment have not yet been disclosed. Earlier, in December, the company "Lesta", associated with the game "World of Tanks", received a warning under the same article.
