Recently, Unknown Worlds Entertainment announced the release date for Subnautica 2, and now the developers have decided to reveal the game's system requirements.
The developers published a table outlining scenarios for different players. Those who want to play at 1080p 30 FPS on “low” settings will need a GTX 1660 or RX 5500XT graphics card. For “ultra++” graphics at 4K 60 FPS, an RTX 5070 Ti or RX 7900XT will be useful.
Minimum System Requirements for Subnautica 2 (1080p at 30 FPS “low” settings):
- OS: Windows 10 / 11
- Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600
- RAM: 12 GB
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5500XT
- Storage: 50 GB
Recommended Requirements for Subnautica 2 (1440p at 60 FPS “medium” settings):
- OS: Windows 11
- Processor: Intel Core i7-13700 or AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
- RAM: 16 GB
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6700XT
- Storage: 50 GB
Subnautica 2 is scheduled for release on PC via Steam on May 14th – the game will first launch in “early access” and is expected to remain in it for approximately 2-3 years.
