After stating that Phantom Blade Zero would encourage "honorable" player behavior, S-Game clarified: there is no "honor system" in the game. However, side quests can "influence the direction of the main story."

Details on specific choices are not yet available, nor is it clear which ones are considered "honorable." But helping these characters might save the hero named Soul from a bad ending. Similar mechanics have been seen in games like Black Myth: Wukong, so a possible "true ending" seems logical.
