In late April, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era was released on PC via Steam in early access. Unfrozen studio is studying player feedback and actively releasing updates.
The fourth patch has recently been introduced, aiming to fix crashes in matches with a large number of players:
We have not ignored the large number of reports about problems when playing with several friends, so we are releasing a hotfix as soon as possible. We are also aware of connection problems in a number of regions — we are actively working on a solution. AI balance also remains in our focus.
List of changes in the fourth patch:
- Fixed a crash in network games for three or more players that occurred when using unit abilities in combat between players.
- Fixed typos in various languages.
The developers of Olden Era clarified that in upcoming patches they plan to make changes regarding various game difficulties, and they will continue to work on improving network game stability.
Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era received "very positive" reviews from players on Steam, with an 89% rating. The developers expect the game to remain in early access for about a year, but the timeline may be adjusted.
