FromSoftware is Developing a New RPG with a Base Ship and Island Exploration - Rumor
There haven't been updates for Elden Ring Nightreign for a long time, and players speculated that the studio was very busy with something.
Recently, fans of FromSoftware studio got a new reason for discussions. The reason was an alleged "leak."
It is claimed that the studio is working on a new project called "CERULEAN ONSLAUGHT." Allegedly, the game will be revealed at the upcoming Summer Game Fest event. According to the source, it will be published by FromSoftware itself.
From a gameplay perspective, it will be a dark action RPG with a base ship, and players will be able to explore various islands. It is stated that this game will be released in August of this year, i.e., earlier than The Duskbloods — another game from the studio being developed for Nintendo Switch 2.
The studio's previous project, Elden Ring Nightreign, has not received updates since the beginning of this year. Previously, players theorized that the studio's efforts might have been directed towards preparing a new expansion or working on the next game.
However, some members of the gaming community are quite skeptical: the concept of CERULEAN ONSLAUGHT itself "sounds cool," but they do not believe in such an early release.
Also, new rumors about the return of the Dark Souls franchise recently appeared online. If the information is correct, FromSoftware studio wants to not only update Dark Souls 3 but also present remakes of the entire trilogy.
