A recent update for Counter-Strike 2 was released, aiming to fix several bugs and address issues with a new map.

Changes to Cache:

  • Fixed various holes on the map.
  • Simplified grenade collisions in various areas.
  • Fixed sounds and surface types for various materials.
  • The orange wire spool near Sandbags was replaced with a white one.

Dataminer Gabe Follower noted that Valve renamed the anti-cheat "VAC" in the English localization — it is now "VACNET" and the chat will show which players have been banned for suspicious behavior.

Some other changes and improvements:

  • NIGHTMODE II music kits were added to Counter-Strike 2.
  • Custom Viewmodel FOV now correctly synchronizes with other clients.
  • Fixed an issue where Ancient map guides might not load in the night version of the map.
  • Fixed a bug where ragdoll models did not retain death velocity when a bullet hit certain body parts.
