
Valve updated anti-cheat in Counter-Strike 2 - VACNET operates under new rules
The developers fixed Cache and more.
A recent update for Counter-Strike 2 was released, aiming to fix several bugs and address issues with a new map.
Changes to Cache:
- Fixed various holes on the map.
- Simplified grenade collisions in various areas.
- Fixed sounds and surface types for various materials.
- The orange wire spool near Sandbags was replaced with a white one.
Dataminer Gabe Follower noted that Valve renamed the anti-cheat "VAC" in the English localization — it is now "VACNET" and the chat will show which players have been banned for suspicious behavior.
Some other changes and improvements:
- NIGHTMODE II music kits were added to Counter-Strike 2.
- Custom Viewmodel FOV now correctly synchronizes with other clients.
- Fixed an issue where Ancient map guides might not load in the night version of the map.
- Fixed a bug where ragdoll models did not retain death velocity when a bullet hit certain body parts.
