Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis to be released in 2026 - developers deny postponement
After the high-profile announcement of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis at The Game Awards 2025, almost no new details about the project emerged, which sparked a wave of rumors about a possible postponement.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is positioned as a full-fledged remake of the first installment, so the lack of marketing raised questions among players. Speculations about development problems began to appear online.
Recently, the Society of Raiders profile on the X platform, without citing sources, reported that the release was allegedly postponed to February 2027. This caused panic among fans, but the information turned out to be unreliable.
Clarification came through the Electric Square studio's LinkedIn profile. The team, involved in development alongside Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog, confirmed their work on the project and stated that the release is scheduled for 2026.
Thus, rumors of a postponement were not confirmed. It also became known that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will be presented at Summer Game Fest, which will take place on June 5, 2026. A new gameplay demonstration and clarification of the release date are expected there.
