Forza Horizon 6 to bring back auction house with rare cars

The auction caused the most controversy among players. In Forza Horizon 5, users earned huge sums by buying cheap cars and reselling them at a large markup. Owners of millions of credits could quickly buy the rarest cars, effectively bypassing the progression system and festival challenges.

Problems also arose during bidding. Winning in the last seconds of an auction often depended not on luck, but on lower ping and faster internet.

Community reaction has been mixed. Users on X welcomed the news positively, but many fear the return of old problems.

However, Playground Games has already promised changes that should reduce the fear of missing out on rare cars. In Forza Horizon 6, some unique cars will return through the new Aftermarket Cars system. It will allow players to buy some models directly, without participating in auctions.

Nevertheless, many still consider the Auction House one of the most problematic elements of the series. Especially if the developers do not strengthen the fight against bots and artificial price inflation, which annoyed players in previous installments.
