Control Resonant won't require buying the game twice - Remedy confirms important feature
Remedy Entertainment continues to share details about the new action RPG Control Resonant. The studio announced support for a feature that Xbox owners will appreciate.
Although the project does not yet have an exact release date, Control Resonant will support Xbox Play Anywhere from day one. It's enough to buy one copy from the Microsoft Store to continue playing on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and compatible portable devices thanks to cloud saves.
Remedy's Senior Communications Manager, Miika Huttunen, stated that this was made possible by the studio self-publishing its games. According to him, the developers also took into account the popularity of portable devices like the ROG Xbox Ally and tried to ensure comfortable controls and stable performance on any hardware.
We want the game to be excellent on all platforms and provide players with the best possible experience. Many aspects of AAA games are revealed on large screens, but we understand that some of the audience plays on portable devices. We take this into account in terms of performance and controls to ensure they have the most comfortable gaming experience.
Creative Director Mikael Kasurinen added that the story can be started with either the first Control or Resonant.
I perceive these two games as siblings: each stands on its own, with its own approach to the world. But it's still one shared universe, plunged into a new crisis.
