New indirect signs have emerged that CD Projekt Red may be working on new content for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This time, the reason for discussion was the LinkedIn profile of one of Yigsoft's developers, which states that since January 2026, he has been working on “gameplay systems and UI elements” for a project from The Witcher series on REDengine and using WitcherScript.

Yigsoft has been collaborating with CD Projekt Red since The Witcher 3: Complete Edition, Cyberpunk 2077, and the Phantom Liberty expansion. However, CD Projekt Red has already officially abandoned its own engine and moved the development of The Witcher 4 to Unreal Engine 5. The remake of the first The Witcher is also being created on a different engine. Therefore, fans have concluded that this could be an expansion for The Witcher 3, as there are simply no other options left.

CD Projekt Red has not yet announced new content for The Witcher 3, but rumors of an expansion have been circulating for over a year. First, the Rock i Borys podcast reported that CD Projekt Red allegedly entrusted the development to Fool’s Theory, the creators of the first Witcher remake. Then, CD Projekt's quarterly reports fueled interest, mentioning an unannounced Fool’s Theory project in addition to the first The Witcher remake. Since then, no official information has emerged.
