Breadworks studio presented a teaser for Mann Versus Zombies — a modification for the online shooter Team Fortress 2. The project is positioned as a TF2 conversion mod that will turn battlefields into “the last stand against endless waves of terrifying creatures.”
According to the plot, Merasmus returns and unleashes the risen dead, who have mutated and crave the flesh of the living. Players start with a weak pistol and must fend off waves of enemies. As they progress, they will earn virtual currency and upgrade their arsenal:
Acquire a wide array of new weapons inspired by real-world firearms, from tactical rifles to heavy crowd control devices. Once you've earned enough money, take the next step and put your weapon through the Mannifestor to show everyone who's boss.
The Mann Versus Zombies modification page is already available on Steam. You can add the project to your wishlist via the following link. The mod requires Team Fortress 2 to be installed — you can play alone or in co-op with up to 8 players. The exact release date has not yet been announced.
