One of the most notable fighting games of the year? Invincible VS launched with solid ratings
The project based on the popular animated series "Invincible" received 76% on Metacritic and Steam, and an even higher rating on OpenCritic.
"Invincible" remains the most popular animated series on Amazon, and the comics continue to sell well. Following the franchise's success, developers released a game that became a serious challenge for Quarter Up studio.
The fighting game genre has long become an extremely difficult market, dominated by Tekken 8, Mortal Kombat 1, Street Fighter 6, and SNK projects. Even Riot Games faced difficulties during the development of 2XKO.
For Quarter Up, this is their first major game in the genre. The team includes veterans who worked on Killer Instinct, and the studio successfully passed its first serious test. However, it is noted that Invincible VS still has enough "growing pains," but a potential sequel could be much larger and of higher quality.
