A Million Within Reach - Mouse: P.I. For Hire Has Already Sold Hundreds of Thousands of Copies
Mouse: P.I. For Hire has shown a strong sales start. According to a new financial report from publisher PlaySide Studios, the stylish shooter, inspired by 1930s cartoons, has sold approximately 730,000 copies.
The game by Polish studio Fumi Games was released on April 16, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The project quickly gained popularity thanks to its style, inspired by animation in the spirit of Disney's "Steamboat Willie" cartoon, and dynamic shooter gameplay.
Approximately half of all sales came from consoles. Before its release, the game also accumulated about 3 million wish list additions across all platforms.
According to the report, revenue from Mouse: P.I. For Hire since launch has been approximately $21.4 million. PlaySide stated that the result significantly exceeded their expectations.
The unusual combination of retro aesthetics and a first-person shooter proved successful and quickly turned the project into a commercial hit.
