Warhammer 40,000 Authors Unveil Terrain Set and "Combat Patrol Companion" Book

In the near future, users will be able to get their hands on the 184-page "Combat Patrol Companion" book for the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game, the "Terrain Area Set" containing 16 double-sided cardboard templates, the Core Rulebook, the Chapter Approved mission deck, and the Dominatus deck.

The "Armageddon" set is the main release for the 11th edition of the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game, but it's far from the only new item. Players will be able to get their hands on the "Combat Patrol Companion" – an introductory guide to the world of Warhammer 40,000.

The book is filled with lore about the galaxy and the factions fighting in it, atmospheric illustrations, tips, and instructions for the first games in "Combat Patrol" mode.

This 184-page book is divided into two parts: a general overview of the hobby and key concepts for beginners, and an extensive guide to the setting and each playable army.

As new terrain and objective rules change the look and mechanics of battlefields, it's helpful to have a set of standard footprints to simplify setup. The "Terrain Area Set" includes 16 double-sided cardboard templates, allowing you to recreate all official terrain maps for the new edition of Warhammer 40,000.

The templates, available in five different sizes and shapes, can be combined with any existing terrain elements to create interesting battlefields with clearly defined objectives.

In addition to these new items, the Core Rulebook, the Chapter Approved mission deck, and the Dominatus deck from the "Armageddon" set will also be available for purchase separately.

The main rulebook will even get an alternate cover featuring an Ultramarine instead of a Blood Angel, and the card decks will have different box designs but the same content. All these new items will be available for pre-order immediately after the release of the "Armageddon" set.
