Insider Names Reason for Probable Cancellation of Ubisoft Forward Show
Ubisoft may cancel its own Ubisoft Forward show this year due to a lack of games capable of filling the presentation, an insider reported.
According to sources, the reason for the decision is simple: the company currently does not have enough ready projects for a full-fledged show. In early 2026, Ubisoft underwent a major internal restructuring, during which 6 large games were canceled, including Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake and several new brands.
Additionally, 7 other projects were postponed to give them extra time for refinement and to avoid issues at launch. The company changed its development structure, dividing studios into five specialized divisions.
As a result, Ubisoft does not have enough high-profile trailers to fill a separate show. Therefore, instead of its own event, the company will likely limit itself to participating in third-party presentations like Summer Game Fest.
