Nihon Falcom has published its consolidated financial report for the first half of the fiscal year ending September 2026. The developer demonstrated impressive growth across almost all key indicators: the company's revenue increased by 153.9% compared to the same period last year, and operating profit surged by an astounding 1227.4%.
The main driver of growth was Nihon Falcom's licensing division, which includes revenues from international game releases. In this segment, sales grew by 194.8% year-over-year. The success of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, a full 3D remake of the first installment in the Trails series, which was released simultaneously worldwide last September, played a key role.
The game became not only a commercial but also a critical success for the company, and also showed the best launch in Nihon Falcom's history on Steam.
In the second half of the fiscal year, Nihon Falcom also plans to release Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter. The simultaneous worldwide release of the game will take place on September 17 for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
