Capcom confirmed that it will continue to research and implement generative artificial intelligence technologies in game development. This became known from the company's report for the last financial quarter.
According to Capcom, the use of generative AI is part of a strategy to develop its own popular franchises and improve production processes. The company emphasized that the technology is primarily used to increase the efficiency and productivity of development, and not to replace the creative component of game creation.
In its report, Capcom stated that it continues to actively invest in the development of its production environment, including its own game engine, new technologies, and AI research.
Among the tasks that are now partially performed with the help of AI, the company listed:
- conducting research
- creating draft documents
- analyzing user data
- preparing interactive instructions
- checking for errors
- keeping notes and meeting minutes
