Hideo Kojima and Hideaki Anno to Appear in "Ultraman" 60th Anniversary Documentary - First Trailer Released
The documentary The Origin of Ultraman will combine archival footage from the original series' filming and interviews with renowned directors, game designers, and artists who were inspired by the franchise.
Tsuburaya Productions unveiled the first trailer for the documentary film The Origin of Ultraman, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Ultraman franchise.
The film will feature archival materials, footage from the filming of the first Ultraman, and interviews with production participants. Among them are Tsuburaya Productions founder Eiji Tsuburaya, artist Toru Narita, as well as actors Susumu Kurobe, Hiroko Sakurai, and Sandayu Dokumamushi.
Also appearing in the documentary will be creators influenced by Ultraman: Guillermo del Toro, Hideaki Anno, Shinji Higuchi, Hideo Kojima, Takashi Shimizu, Nicolas Winding Refn, Shannon Tindle, and others.
The film's premiere in Japanese cinemas will take place on July 3.
