PoE 2 creators are making design changes so that players can easily navigate and quickly complete the campaign.

Path of Exile 2 developers continue to introduce the community to the novelties of the upcoming update "Return of the Ancients". Grinding Gear Games has studied player feedback on the time required to replay the campaign.

The developers are going to "actively make changes" to simplify this task. Path of Exile 2 Game Director Mark Roberts decided to present some campaign changes.

Players can expect visual cues that will help them easily determine the path. For example, in the first act, a river, mushrooms, and more will serve as a landmark:

For example, in Greylwood in Act 1, if you come across a river, you can go upstream and it will always lead you to Red Valley. When searching for the Soul Tree, look for magical glowing roots. Follow them, and you will find the tree. But that's not all, in the same area you can even see these mushrooms. If you see them, look for the entrance to the Gloomy Thicket. It's nearby.

In the second act, the Traitor's Path will now always have a fork, where one path will always lead to Balbala, and the other to the exit. In the third act, there are explorer camps in the jungle selling items, and they will become even more useful — players will be able to talk to NPCs to have them point the way to the next area.

The release of the Path of Exile 2 "Return of the Ancients" update is scheduled for May 29.
