Windrose Developers Announce New Sales Milestone
Windrose, currently in early access on PC, has already achieved a result that many major projects would envy. The pirate simulator sold 2 million copies within a month of its release.
For comparison, Silent Hill f took more than 6 months to reach a comparable sales level. These are different games, but the comparison clearly shows the scale of Windrose's success.
It's also interesting that the project is backed by the Kraken Express studio from Uzbekistan, which few had heard of a year ago. The game doesn't use a well-known brand, hasn't been released on consoles, and is still in early access development. Despite this, players have massively turned their attention to the pirate adventure, indicating a high demand for such games.
The developers thanked the community for their support, noting that from the very beginning, they could only count on the project finding an audience. Players explore the world, share stories, create content, report bugs, and help improve the game.
Kraken Express has already announced further updates. A patch addressing major issues will be released soon, followed by work on a major update. Details are not yet disclosed, but the goal is clear – to gradually expand Windrose and develop the pirate adventure.
