The price of Grand Theft Auto VI continues to be one of the most discussed topics in the gaming industry. Despite the lack of official confirmation of the cost from Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive, many players are already prepared for the fact that the new criminal blockbuster may cost more than the usual AAA releases.
During the latest episode of the Insider Gaming Weekly podcast, the hosts decided to gauge the audience's opinion and asked viewers if they would be willing to pay $100 for the standard edition of Grand Theft Auto VI. The result was unexpectedly unambiguous: about 80% of respondents stated that they would easily buy the game at that price.
It has long been discussed in the gaming community that the scale, budget, and popularity of Grand Theft Auto VI could push the industry to a new standard for prices of major releases. Many fans believe that for such an ambitious game, there is simply "no such thing as too high a price."
In addition, the poll also touched upon the topic of a possible release delay. According to Insider Gaming Weekly, 84% of viewers are confident that Grand Theft Auto VI will no longer face delays.
