Pedro Pascal has been playing Din Djarin since 2019, when the first season of “The Mandalorian” premiered on Disney+. During this time, the character has evolved from a silent bounty hunter to an adoptive father and mentor to Grogu, becoming one of the most recognizable faces of modern “Star Wars.”

The next stage will be the film “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” which will bring Din Djarin's story from Disney+ to the big screen. However, according to the actor, he does not intend to stop there.

During a Q&A session in London, he admitted that The Mandalorian has been the longest role in his career, and over the years, he has developed a strong connection with the character. The actor hopes to play Din Djarin for as long as possible — as long as his body can handle it or “however many bodies they put in that suit.” This phrase refers to the specifics of filming “The Mandalorian”: in many scenes, Din Djarin's armor is worn by stand-ins and stunt doubles, while Pascal himself only provides the voice.

What happens next is still unknown. Earlier, Jon Favreau said that he has “many creative plans” for the characters after the film, but Lucasfilm has not yet announced new projects involving Din Djarin and Grogu.
