The story and gameplay of the French JRPG Clair Obscur Expedition 33 pleased many players. However, some community members actively criticized Sandfall Interactive for a mini-game. Dissatisfied users complained about high difficulty and inconvenient controls.

However, Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Game Director Guillaume Broche clearly demonstrated that the problem is not with the game itself, but with the players' skills.

The developer was present at the charity speedrun event Speedons (something like the French Games Done Quick). He commented on the Expedition 33 playthrough and picked up the gamepad himself when it was time to play the "volleyball" mini-game.

He jokingly stated that player complaints were a "skill issue." Guillaume's playthrough was not perfect, but he still successfully managed to complete the challenge.

The Speedons recording is available at the following link, the segment starts at 9:52.

Earlier this year, the developers of Clair Obscur Expedition 33 celebrated the project's first anniversary and released a special update with a surprise for fans of the game.
