Forza Horizon 6 Sets Early Access Record - Xbox Data
Forza Horizon 6 is off to a strong start - the head of Xbox confirmed that the game set a series record for early access and has already attracted a huge number of players even before its full release.
The first data on Microsoft's new racing game appeared quickly. Xbox head Asha Sharma announced that Playground Games' new title had the best early access performance in the series' history.
On social media, Sharma noted the high interest in the project:
It's incredible to see how many players are discovering Forza Horizon 6 this weekend, making it the most actively played early access premiere in the series' history.
She also congratulated Playground Games and emphasized the consistent quality of the series. According to her, maintaining such high ratings across so many installments is "an exceptionally rare achievement in the industry."
The game indeed receives high ratings – Forza Horizon 6 topped the ranking of the best releases of 2026 on Metacritic with an average score of 92%. Journalists praise the meticulously recreated Japan, graphics, and improved driving physics.
The Steam launch also looks good: in early access, available only to owners of the Premium edition, the game gathered 181 thousand concurrent players, which indicates high interest.
The full release of Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled for May 19, 2026, on Xbox Series X|S and PC. The PS5 version will be released later this year.
