Matt and Ross Duffer confirmed that the new spinoff will not be a direct continuation of the main story. The series will focus on new characters and retain the spirit of "Stranger Things," but will no longer be directly connected to Eleven and Hawkins. However, the project is not conceived as an anthology, and the cast has already been approved. The brothers have not yet revealed the plot or the names of the actors.
