ARC Raiders developers decided to deal with cheaters by adding Denuvo to the game
But don't rush to throw hats at Embark, because it's not about DRM, and the studio specifically emphasized this.
Embark Studios announced the implementation of the Denuvo anti-cheat system in ARC Raiders. The developers expect this to help reduce the number of cheaters, which players have been complaining about for a long time.
The information appeared with the release of mini-update 1.29.0. In the patch description, the studio stated that Denuvo Anti-Cheat will begin to be implemented from May 19, first for a limited number of users, and later the system will be more widely distributed after "thorough monitoring".
At the same time, Embark specifically emphasized that this is about anti-cheat, not DRM protection. The developers stated that they will try to minimize the impact of the new system on game performance.
The studio also noted that it will continue to use Anybrain technology to combat dishonest players. In an appeal to the community, the developers asked users to continue sending complaints and information about suspicious players.
