Beyond The Dark became yet another proof that if something is free, then you are the product.
Valve has removed the free horror game Beyond The Dark from sale on Steam after users discovered malicious software in the game capable of stealing player data.
The situation came to light after an investigation by blogger Eric Parker. He stated that he found hidden malware in the game's files, located in the UnityPlayer.dll library.
Following the investigation, Valve removed Beyond The Dark from Steam, but the company has not yet provided official comments on the reasons for the removal.
