Commissar Ciaphas Cain and Ferik Jurgen miniatures for Warhammer 40,000 announced

In the future, fans of the Imperium and the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game will be able to get their hands on miniatures of Commissar Ciaphas Cain and First Class Gunner Ferik Jurgen, as well as a special edition of Sandy Mitchell's novel "For the Emperor."

Games Workshop has remembered one of the heroes of the Imperium from the Warhammer 40,000 universe and his loyal assistant. Today, the team unveiled new miniatures of Commissar Ciaphas Cain and Ferik Jurgen — a first-class gunner and a "blank."

The set comes with the option to mount Cain and Jurgen on separate bases or back-to-back on one large base to create a mini-diorama.

In keeping with Cain's "valiant" stories, his model stands in a heroic pose, with his chainsword resting on the shoulder of his flowing greatcoat.

Ferik Jurgen, in many ways the opposite of his self-important commissar, has the grim expression of a man desperately fighting for survival. While Cain's weapon rests arrogantly on his shoulder, Jurgen's meltagun is aimed at the target in the style of an experienced soldier.

Jurgen is dressed in traditional Valhallan attire, born in an icy climate: a thick fur hat and coat to protect against the cold.

Additionally, a special illustrated and annotated edition of the novel "For the Emperor" is expected. In this classic story, Cain and his Valhallan regiment try to maintain order at an Imperial outpost on the outskirts of the T'au Empire.

This new edition includes 15 brand new illustrations and 130 annotations by author Sandy Mitchell. The Ciaphas Cain miniature will soon be available for pre-order along with the aforementioned book.
