The creators of Disco Elysium are back in business. ZERO PARADES receives high ratings
Ratings and first reviews for ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies show that the new RPG from ZA/UM turned out to be successful and will attract the attention of genre fans.
ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies is a spy RPG where the player takes on the role of a talented but “cursed” operative sent on a dangerous mission. During the game, you need to restore a network of contacts, unravel a conspiracy, and decide whether to lead the story to salvation or disaster.
The game received 83% on Metacritic after 26 reviews and 91% on Opencritic after 16 opinions. This is not the level of Disco Elysium, but critics call the project a confident and high-quality RPG.
Reviewers praise the strong dialogues, the influence of choices on the plot, and the dense atmosphere. They also note the expressive style, well-developed world, and strong script. It is emphasized that ZA/UM has once again created an unconventional and intelligent RPG that stands out from its competitors.
The downsides include uneven pacing, not always intuitive mechanics, and a sometimes too abstract plot. Some reviewers also believe that the game does not offer the same groundbreaking experience as Disco Elysium.
As of May 21, ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies is only available on PC, with a PS5 release expected in 20026.
