Hulu has revealed the release date for the animated series "Adventure Time: Side Quests" — a new project from the franchise by Cartoon Network Studios. The premiere will take place on June 29, and the story will once again focus on Finn and Jake, who will embark on independent adventures across the Land of Ooo.
Unlike other spin-offs, including "Fionna and Cake," the new project is positioned as a "companion" to the original show. The series will focus on short, lighthearted stories in the spirit of the early seasons of "Adventure Time."
Nat Cash, who worked on the original series and "SpongeBob SquarePants," serves as showrunner and executive producer. According to him, the production of "Side Quests" reminded him of working on the original "Adventure Time."
