Trench Crusade Board Game Gets "All Out War" Mode with Multiplayer Scenarios
With the "All Out War" expansion, fans of the Trench Crusade board game can now experience new rules for multiplayer battles with 3 or more players, as well as three scenarios: "Looters," "Brothers-in-Arms," and "Alliance & Betrayal."
The Trench Crusade board game will now feature battles beyond just two players. The developers have released the rules for the All Out War mode, allowing the project to be played by three or more players.
This expansion includes not only new rules necessary for multiplayer games but also three brand new scenarios. The most significant change to the core Trench Crusade rules is the addition of a standard deck of playing cards. It is used to determine turn order and resolve opposing dice rolls.
In a multiplayer game, cards are used to determine initiative and turn order. In the Initiative phase, each player is dealt one card face up, and in the Activation phase, players activate their models in descending order of card rank — from highest to lowest.
After all players have activated one model, the sequence restarts with the player holding the highest card and continues until all players have activated all their models and the Activation phase concludes.
The changes are supported by three multiplayer scenarios. The first, called "Looters," allows a group of three to eight people to engage in a battle where each player aims to capture as much loot as possible.
The second scenario is called "Brothers-in-Arms" and is designed for exactly four players, divided into two teams of two. The team that scores the most victory points wins the scenario, and both players become joint winners.
The final scenario is called "Alliance & Betrayal," and it can be played by three or four players. As the name suggests, the essence of the scenario is to form temporary alliances and then stab an ally in the back when they least expect it. It also includes rules for using a second deck of playing cards as a Betrayal deck.
