Ubisoft changes Assassin's Creed Black Flag plot - fans will discover a new side of Kenway
The announcement of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced revealed that the remake's plot will not be limited to new dialogues - even the familiar story will be presented to players in a new way thanks to an expanded script and additional missions.
Some fans feared that the new storylines of Assassin's Creed Black Flag would disrupt the pace of the original, but actor Matt Ryan, who once again voiced Edward Kenway, stated that Ubisoft invited him to record entirely new dialogues and scenes.
In an interview, Ryan noted that returning to the role was a "nostalgic and beautiful experience" for him. He emphasized that the new episodes are not "filler" but add depth to the story. According to him, the focus is on the relationships between characters, as well as revealing Kenway's motives and internal conflicts.
Additionally, new story missions integrated into the main narrative will be added to the game, as well as side quests that reveal Edward's relationships with his crew and historical figures. It is separately noted that the actor's voice was naturally adapted to a more mature version of the hero.
Ryan stated that the new scenes impressed him so much that he did not hesitate to return to record the role.
