Marvel has decided to unite television, animation, and comics under a single leadership.

Marvel announced a major reshuffle that will directly affect Marvel Comics. Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Studios' streaming, television, and animation divisions, has been given a new role: he now leads Marvel Television, Animation, Comics & Franchise. In addition to series and animation, he will oversee the company's comics division.

Alongside this, Disney has transferred David Abdo, who previously worked within the corporation, to Marvel. He will take on the role of General Manager of Comics & Franchise and will report to Winderbaum.

At the same time, Marvel Comics head Dan Buckley announced his departure after almost 30 years with the company. Buckley will remain at Marvel until mid-2027 to assist with the transition of power.

Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski will retain his position but will now report directly to Winderbaum. In effect, the head of the MCU's television division will gain significant influence over creative decisions in comics.

Kevin Feige has already commented on the changes, calling the Winderbaum and Abdo pairing "a powerful combination" for Marvel's future. For fans, this means the company is building a unified management system where films, series, animation, and comics will work more closely together.
