For some players, the absence of the ability to kill creatures in Subnautica 2 came as an unpleasant surprise. Such users began to criticize the developers, and in response, they were advised to go play some other game that has such mechanics – Sons of the Forest and others.
While some individuals expressed their dissatisfaction in online comments, a user named jibotron decided to take action – they released a modification for Subnautica 2 that allows killing:
When I first launched Subnautica 2 and realized that the ability to kill was removed, it really infuriated me – why remove such a simple feature, especially in a survival sandbox? And after the developers stated that it would not return to the game and did not align with their creative vision, I thought: why not make such a feature myself, given my experience in modding other games.
The result is the Killable Creatures modification for Subnautica 2, which does exactly what its name suggests: players will be able to kill "anything you want."

Currently, the developers of Subnautica 2 are preparing major updates for the game – their release is expected in the coming months.
