Subnautica 2 recently launched in early access. A few days later, Unknown Worlds Entertainment released its first small patch.

"Early Access Hotfix 1" included several technical fixes for issues reported by players.

  • The crash error pop-up for AMD graphics cards and DirectX 12 issues has been updated – it now provides more hints and information for resolution.
  • A critical bug related to the "Ping" function has been fixed – it was causing crashes.
  • Analytics (data) collection is now only enabled after accepting the "Terms of Use".
  • The amount of data sent to the game developers' services has been reduced.

Currently, the creators of Subnautica 2 are working on full-fledged major updates, which are expected to be released in the coming months – new biomes, features, and other content will be added to the game:

We plan to release regular updates for Subnautica 2, but not all of them will be the same! These will include system and mechanic improvements, urgent fixes, and large-scale updates. While the next major update with new biomes, creatures, resources, tools, vehicles, and story progression is being prepared, we will also release intermediate improvements.
