Sony "saves" PS6 from Project Helix. Journalists named the reason for Sony's refusal to release its exclusives on PC

A serious change in the matter of exclusives is being prepared in the console market. According to journalist Jason Schreier, PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst confirmed a change in Sony's strategy during an internal meeting.

Sony has allegedly decided to completely stop releasing its major single-player games from PlayStation 5 on PC.

After this statement, rumors emerged about the reasons for such a decision. Digital Foundry experts believe that this is related to Project Helix – Microsoft's new console.

According to information from the experts' material, Project Helix will be a hybrid of a console and a PC. If Sony continued to release its games on computers, owners of the new Xbox would be able to run PlayStation projects through the device's PC architecture.

Digital Foundry believes that abandoning PC ports was a way for Sony to preserve the value of its ecosystem and limit the competitor's access to series like God of War and Marvel's Spider-Man.
