At the Warhammer Skulls 2026 presentation, Auroch Digital studio unveiled a new trailer for Warhammer Survivors and simultaneously released a free demo of the game on Steam. The project is being developed in partnership with poncle – the creator of Vampire Survivors, who popularized the "bullet heaven" genre.
In terms of gameplay, Warhammer Survivors expands on the Vampire Survivors formula, bringing it into the worlds of Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. Players will be able to control heroes from both universes. Among the confirmed characters are Space Marine Veteran Malum Caedo from Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun and Stormcast Eternals Neave Blacktalon from Age of Sigmar, but the full list of heroes has not yet been revealed by the developers. Each character will have their own starting weapon, skills, and playstyle.
The developers will also hold a Q&A session on the /r/Warhammer subreddit. Team representatives will answer player questions on May 28, 2026, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM Moscow time.
Warhammer Survivors will be released in 2026 on Steam, GOG, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Android, and iOS.
