After the theatrical screenings of "The Boys" finale in the USA, the first teaser for the series "Vought International Rising" – a new prequel and spin-off of The Boys universe – appeared online. The trailer was shown exclusively before the screenings, but it could not be kept a secret.
The teaser itself does not yet reveal serious plot details, but it gives a first look at a young Soldier Boy played by Jensen Ackles and Stormfront played by Aya Cash. Both actors also serve as producers of the project.
"The Boys" showrunner Eric Kripke previously described the series as "a twisted detective story about the origins of Vought in the 1950s." Viewers can expect the adventures of Soldier Boy and Stormfront, as well as a story about how the system that gave rise to the twisted world of superheroes was formed.
The premiere of the first season is expected in 2027. Jensen Ackles and Eric Kripke have previously stated that the show could get multiple seasons, and "Vought International Rising" showrunner Paul Grellong already has ideas for a continuation.
