Take-Two revealed new sales data for GTA V
Take-Two revealed new data for Grand Theft Auto V - the game has sold almost 230 million copies and continues to sell at a rate of about 5 million copies per quarter, remaining one of the company's main revenue sources even 13 years after its release.
During the presentation of financial results, Take-Two Interactive announced that Grand Theft Auto V has reached almost 230 million copies sold. Compared to the previous report (225 million), the game continues to show stable sales growth.
According to company data, GTA V still sells approximately 5 million copies per quarter. The game was released in 2013 and has been released on three console generations, as well as on PC.
Take-Two also reminded that Grand Theft Auto V became the fastest-selling entertainment release in history, earning $1 billion in retail sales.
In total, the GTA series has sold over 470 million copies, remaining one of the most successful franchises in the industry. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick previously noted its sustained commercial success.
