Prime Video has released the first trailer for "Vought International's Dawn" – a new spin-off of "The Boys," set in the 1950s. The series will tell the story of the early days of Vought Corporation, the rise of Soldier Boy, and Klara Vought, who at this time is still hiding her true nature.
The official synopsis describes the project as a dark story about the "twisted origins of Vought International." Franchise ideologue Eric Kripke previously noted that the series will retain the DNA of the original show with its signature satire, ultraviolence, and dark humor, but will be closer in genre to a noir detective story.
Paul Grellong, who previously worked on the main series, took on the role of showrunner for the project. Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash returned to their roles as Soldier Boy and Stormfront, and also became executive producers.
The cast of the series includes Mason Dye, Will Hochman, Kiki Layne, Jordyn Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Elizabeth Posey, Ricky Staffieri, and Bryan J. Smith.
The release of "Vought International's Dawn" is scheduled for 2027.
