Call of Duty: Mobile head Geoff Gaalett confirmed in the debut episode of the official Inside CODM show that there will be no major updates to the zombie mode in the near future.

During a conversation with blogger iFerg, the head of mobile Call of Duty admitted that the team is well aware of audience requests but has to prioritize. The developers are guided by statistics: most players spend their time in traditional multiplayer and "Battle Royale." The studio will focus its main efforts on these modes.

The creators are not going to completely abandon zombie content. Gaalett assured that the undead "will always be a part of CODM," but this mainly refers to temporary seasonal events like Halloween events. However, the classic mode and Undead Siege will remain without major gameplay updates, new maps, and mechanics.

The community met the statement with a wave of criticism on Reddit and YouTube. Many long-time players believe that the low online presence of the zombie mode is a direct consequence of the developers almost ignoring it for years. Undead Siege, for example, has not received serious updates since 2021, and the classic mode appeared in 2019, was removed in 2020, returned in 2022, and has also remained unsupported since then.
