Soon the ATS map will be supplemented with a new state.

Recently, the creators of the truck driver simulator American Truck Simulator released a new dev diary dedicated to the creation of the South Dakota DLC.

This time, the SCS Software team invites players to take a look at one of the cities in the DLC. Hot Springs is in the spotlight — it is known for its warm mineral springs, as well as its historical architecture, which the developers recreated:

The city holds a unique place in railroad history: it was once home to what was believed to be the smallest Union Station in the world. Built in 1891 from local pink sandstone, this tiny depot became an iconic landmark of the region. Although passenger trains no longer directly enter the city, Hot Springs' railway heritage is alive and well today — you can even see it in the game! The beautifully preserved building now serves as the local tourist information center.

ATS players will also be able to see other attractions, such as the “Pioneer Museum”, as well as buildings in the Neo-Romanesque style.

The release date for the South Dakota DLC for American Truck Simulator has not yet been announced. You can add the DLC to your wishlist on Steam via the following link.

As usual, the presented shots are “work in progress”, meaning they do not reflect the final quality of the content.
