After 17 years, PC gamers gained access to Saints Row 2 add-ons - modders ported console content
Fans are improving the PC version of Saints Row 2 on their own.
The PC version of Saints Row 2 is known for various technical issues, which modders are gradually fixing. Recently, a group of enthusiasts presented a new update for the game — they managed to port console add-ons to PC. Previously, this content could only be officially enjoyed on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The modification was named "[Saints Row 2] PC DLC":
This is a project that ports all single-player DLC content — including clothes, NPCs, vehicles, and missions from Ultor Exposed, Unkut, and Corporate Warfare. Multiplayer content may appear later, but co-op is already working, and you can complete missions with a partner. In addition, this project includes fixes for bugs in the original DLCs.
A small team of modders is working on the project, so they do not rule out that they might have missed some bugs — they are currently collecting community feedback.
The authors of "[Saints Row 2] PC DLC" have already published their project online for public access. The modders clarified that a "vanilla" copy of Saints Row 2 (without other installed modifications), a clean save without mods, and "Juiced Patch" version 9.0.0 or higher will be required for it to work.
