Infinity Ward hinted that it is going to reboot the Modern Warfare series

Infinity Ward has officially confirmed the development of a new game in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series. The developers call the project "the defining Modern Warfare" and promise that it will open "a new chapter" not only for the sub-series, but also for the studio itself.

In the published video, Infinity Ward stated that the team is betting on "tough, exciting combat experiences", and also strives to perfect every detail - from game systems to the staging of individual moments. Studio executives emphasized that the new project is being created with "an obsession with quality" and a desire to release "the best entertainment in the industry".

Judging by the developers' statements, a full announcement of the next Call of Duty installment is just around the corner. However, it remains unknown whether the new Modern Warfare will be another reboot of the series, as happened in 2019, or if the game will continue the existing storyline.
