Path of Exile 2 to become temporarily free - players can get special decorations
Grinding Gear Games has prepared a lot of new content for the ARPG. The developers decided to launch a new promotion to attract an audience.
Path of Exile 2 developers are preparing for the imminent release of a major update, "Return of the Ancients." A new promotional event will start on the day the update is released.
Game director Jonathan Rogers said that Path of Exile 2 will be available to play for free:
PC, Steam, Epic, and Xbox players will get 3 days of free access to our biggest update to date, and a new league.
By playing in the "Runes of Aldur" league during the free weekend, users will not only be able to experience new content but also earn character decorations.
If you reach the Clearfell Camp, you can unlock a character skin with scars in the form of Ezomite runes, which "covers your hero with bloody runic marks inspired by ritual Ezomite traditions."
Those who manage to defeat Count Geonor in the finale of Act 1 will receive the "Gathering Portal" as a reward, designed in the gothic atmosphere of the Chapel of the Fallen in Ogham Castle.
The release of the "Return of the Ancients" update for Path of Exile 2 is scheduled for May 29. The "free weekend" promotion starts on that day at 11:00 PM Moscow time and will last until June 1, 11:00 PM MSK.
