Forza Horizon 6 Found to Have a Pokemon Reference - Designed So Nintendo's Lawyers Can't Remove It
During the development of the new installment of the franchise, consultations were held with the legal department.
Players continue to gradually explore Forza Horizon 6. Surprises are not only found in the open world. An Easter egg has also been prepared for attentive listeners of in-game radio stations.
A recording of a radio segment, posted on social media by user wxrry, went viral within the community.
At a certain point, the host says the phrase "take a camera and Snap 'em all." This clearly refers to the famous Pokemon slogan — "Gotta catch 'em all."
There's no room for debate here about whether this is a mere coincidence or an intentional reference, as the phrase following this "slogan" is: "Like that Japanese collectible game we can't name for legal reasons."
Players appreciated how cleverly the creators of Forza Horizon 6 simultaneously made a reference to the well-known Japanese Pokemon franchise and protected themselves from Nintendo's lawyers — everyone understands what it's about, but Playground Games won't be able to face claims for this.
